Paz Polak
Paz has spent the last decade studying cancer whole genome sequences (WGS) uncovering the relationship between the epigenome, DNA repair, and genetics to the cancer mutation landscape. His work revealed multiple novel WGS based biomarkers and was published in multiple high impact journals including Nature and NEJM. Before joining C2i Genomics, he was an Assistant Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai heading the Population Cancer Genomics Lab which performed the first cancer liquid biopsy in Sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Polak completed his post-doctoral training at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard and was a junior faculty at Harvard Medical School.
